John Mutch - Head Coach

John Mutch - Head Coach

Coach Mutch is entering his 13th year as the head coach with the baseball program. He graduated from Brecksville in 1995, and continued his baseball and football careers at Walsh University. At Walsh, he earned All-Conference honors twice and played on the conference championship team in 2000. After his college career, Coach Mutch spent time during 2000 playing in Holland. He began coaching baseball in the spring of 2001 as an assistant in the program.

Bryan Celik - Assistant Coach

Coach Celik is entering his 2nd year as an assistant with the baseball program. He graduated from Akron Firestone high school, and continued his baseball career at the University of Akron. After his college career, Coach Celik spent time as an assistant coach at his alma mater. Following his time coaching at Firestone, Coach Celik took over Stow high school baseball program as the head coach for the bulldogs.

Jeff Foltz - Assistant Coach

Coach Foltz is entering his 2nd year with the baseball program. Coach Foltz is a graduate of Findlay High School. After high school he continued both his academic and baseball careers at Ashland University. Coach Foltz graduated with a degree in education and is a physical education teacher. Coach Foltz has extensive experience coaching high school athletes as well as travel/club baseball in Northeast Ohio.

Mark Hassinger - Assistant Coach

Coach Hassinger is entering his 5th year with baseball program. He is a 2006 Brecksville-Broadview Heights graduate, where he lettered in football and baseball. After high school, Coach Hassinger continued his education at Kent State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He has several years coaching experience coaching travel baseball in Northeast Ohio.

Bryan Miller - Assistant Coach

Coach Miller is entering his 3rd year with the Brecksville Baseball Program. He is a 2010 graduate of Brecksville- Broadview Heights High School, where he lettered in cross country and baseball. He played on the Regional team in 2009 and part of 4 conference titles during his career. Coach Miller was a Mizuno All-Ohio selection in 2010, 2-time 2nd Team OHSBCA All-State selection in 2009 & 2008, and an HM OHSBCA All-State selection in 2010. Coach Miller continued his education and baseball career at the College of Wooster.

Jake Kivett - Assistant Coach

Coach Kivett is entering his 2nd year with the Brecksville Baseball Program. He is a 2015 graduate of Brecksville- Broadview Heights High School, where he lettered in hockey and baseball. Coach Kivett played infield and was a part of 2 conference titles during his playing career. After high school Coach Kivett continued his playing career at Cuyahoga Community College.

Jeff Gennaro - Assistant Coach

Coach Gennaro is entering his 3rd year with the baseball program. He is a 2011 graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, where he lettered in baseball. He played on the Regional team in 2009 and part of 4 conference titles during his career. Coach Gennaro was a 1st Team All-Conference selection for the Bees in 2011. Coach Gennaro continued his education earning a degree in marketing from The Ohio State University.

Matt Suschak - Assistant Coach

Coach Suschak is entering his 1st year with the baseball program. He attended Brecksville-Broadview Hts. High School and graduated in 2007. He played 3 years of varsity baseball and was named a Louisville Slugger All-American Honorable Mention, Second-Team All-State and Mizuno All-Ohio following his senior year. He went on to play college baseball at the University of Toledo where he was a 2nd-Team All-MAC performer during his Junior Year. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 7th Round of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft and pitched for rookie level affiliate Danville Braves and Single A affiliate Rome Braves in their Minor League system. In 2013 he pitched in the Frontier League for the Lake Erie Crushers out of Avon Ohio as well as the Normal City Cornbelters out of Normal, Illinois.
